Autumn Splendor
Autumn is in full swing here in Minnesota. Before it passes me and everyone else by all-too-quickly, I managed to take a walk the other day with my camera to capture a few glimpses of the leaf-turning, leaf-falling, leaf-crunching joys that fill my days this time of year. Plus, Andy and I bought apple cider and mulling spices at the grocery store on Sunday...mmmmm...I can almost taste autumn just thinking about it!

Hey Guys, I saw your bloggishness on Jen and Nate's page and thought I'd visit. Nice shots. Makes me kinda homesick for "normal" weather. The leaves are starting to turn here in DC, but it's still in the mid-70s. THAT'S JUSt NOT RIGHT!

Jess,
How right you are about enjoying these beautiful autumn days while we can. This weekend I went to a retreat at the Sinsinawa Mounds Center near Dubuque and thoroughly enjoyed the drive down and back on a beautiful autumn weekend. Saturday night six of us walked to their outdoor labyrinth on a beautiful moonlit night and walked the labyrinth in silence together, excepting for the sound of leaves crunching under our feet and moonlight glimmering through the trees. Afterwards we sat in the middle of a field, the moonlight glowing on our faces, and talked about what we had experienced, some with tears in their eyes they had been moved so much. If you all out there in blogland haven't done it yet - walk the labyrinth. Alone, with others, indoors or out, it doesn't matter - but doing it on a beautiful moonlit autumn night with others was truly a magical experience.
Love,
Mom

I can't complain about weather in Cambodia, but your pictures of beautiful leaves and talk of apple cider make me jealous!
