Christmas Preparations

Well, apparently I lied about the blogging drought that was supposedly going to start a few days ago--because here I am, procrastinating by blogging :). We have a few pre-Christmas photos to share...

We cut our own tree for the first time this year, along with our friends Alex & Erica:

We also drove down last Friday to wish Karlie a happy birthday, and to visit our favorite bell-ringers...they even recruited us to help for a while:

And I know you're all clamoring to hear about my most recent knitting adventures! I was working on a little sweater...but then the Cambodia trip came along and I decided I didn't want to attempt multi-colored knitting on super-tiny needles on the plane. So, I decided to make us Christmas stockings! I finished Andy's while we were there:

Mine, sadly, is quite un-finished, as I had to surrender my knitting needles at the Bangkok airport just before our long 12-hour flight. I am working on it though...or was, until I discovered yesterday that my knitting bag has disappeared! Help! Has anyone seen my knitting bag--a while shoulder bag, with a green & white stocking-in-progress and knitting supplies inside???

happy holidays

Well, classes are over or ending, and we're getting ready for Christmas traveling. So chances are you won't hear from us in a couple of weeks...I thought I'd leave you with a few random photos from our Thanksgiving trip to Cambodia, seeing as we haven't uploaded any new photos since then!

Here it appears that Ellie is holding out her hand to help Ben...though in fact she is screaming "NO! NO BEN!" because she doesn't want him to give her a push. Kids are so sweet :)

We are the most normal couple I know. True story.

And Andy is thinking "I never approved this photo for blog-posting..."

Here, we see that Andy's frisbee DID indeed make an appearance in Cambodia.

In case you can't read it: "Coffee and love are best when they are hot." -German Proverb (this was taken at a cafe in the Bangkok airport)

Jess says "I love Cambodia!"

Merry Christmas everyone!

Next: Awe-Inspiring

We spent two days exploring the ancient Angkor temples near Siem Reap (including Angkor Wat). They are, needless to say, amazing. Below are just a few snapshots of various temples & ruins we saw...

Beginning with Cute

Well, its hard to know where to begin with the 643 photos we took on our trip to Cambodia (no joke). So, we'll begin with cute: a few shots of the kids.

Uncle Andy reading to Ben & Ellie.

Ben the artist, loving the joys of shirt-less painting!

Jen & the kids--traveling in style.

Real Men Knit

Ah, yes. We women have been wearing pants for years, but it seems to be taking you men a bit longer to catch on to all the fabulous features of "femininity"...perhaps this will inspire you :-)
