Happy Thanksgiving :-)

We are getting ready for an extended weekend of celebrating Thanksgiving with the Kalizabems. Since our return will bring with it the beginning of Advent and the Christmas rush, I thought we should at least share a few photos now, before all the festivities begin:

Grandma Phyllis & Grandpa John recently visited--Theodore enjoyed some extra attention over the weekend...

...and Simon loved having some extra playmates! (And, not pictured, Mama loved getting to take a nap on Saturday while the kids were occupied!)

Simon's lovely spaghetti face. No special reason, I just thought I should share :)

A couple weekends ago now, I was able to fly out to Denver to visit these fine folks, standing here in front if their new house! It was a brief but lovely trip, long overdue. The next time I see them will be just days before they say their "I do's"!

Half a Year

What occasion would prompt this, my first experience with solid food?

Well, my half-year birthday, naturally!

Happy Six Months to me! (Love, Theodore)

Halloween Fun

A few photos of our Halloween fun--it was Simon's first time carving pumpkins, and second time trick-or-treating.

We decided to tackle his--the biggest--pumpkin first.

He made an excellent "pumpkin goo scooper"

Grandma and Grandpa, and Uncle Peter, came down from Red Wing

We gave Simon the option of getting a different costume this year, but he declined--he wanted to be a bumblebee again. Here he is with our jack-o-lanterns (one for each of us, clockwise: Simon's, Theodore's, Daddy's, and Mommy's), ready to head out trick-or-treating.

The plan was to bring Theodore out too, in his little skeleton sleeper costume, but he has been sick and he zonked out just as Simon was about ready to head out.

Simon enjoyed trick-or-treating last year, but was rather timid and unsure of the whole thing. This year he LOVED it. He did a great job of saying "trick or treat!," of helping us find the houses with lights on, and at times even said "thank you."

Once we were done trick or treating, Simon also loved handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. All in all it was a success!
